Swift City was created by seven Australian friends who have known each other since their university days. The idea was conceived in December 2005 on a short trip to Perth, Western Australia. Not wanting to spend money on a wordy and expensive travel guide, a much simpler alternative was desired. Swift City was born! The first travel guides on Swift City were Sydney, then Brisbane.
Swift City officially launched in January 2007.
